How does society in Jeddah work regarding dates/relationships?

I am muslim so obviously I am not looking for sex outside marriage by renting hotel rooms or whatever, but it would be nice to get to know a lady and take her out for dinner for example. Is that a problem in Jeddah? Is it true you get deported if you're caught with a woman that is not your wife?

I will only be staying on a 2-year contract. I am a British Citizen of East African origin so I am black. Does race play a role in how you are dealt with by the religious police in Jeddah?
