Shopping in Rio

Hello everyone,

I have some queries about shopping in Brazil, especially Rio de Janeiro where I will be living as of next week (!)

I am not really picky but I do have favourite shops where I usually shop since they suit me and my needs.

With regard to shoes I always shop from Clarks. They produce shoes which are very comfortable and ideal for problematic feet sizes like mine.

Face wash products: Dead Sea Spa Magik. Any equivalents there? And where do I find these?

Clothes: my all time favourite is Topshop. I read there is a franchised branch in Sao Paolo. Anywhere else? Any similar trendy clothing shop?

Hi,

I'm not a shopping expert myself, but the fanciest shopping malls in Rio to me are Shopping Leblon and Barra Shopping. I think you will be able to find most things you need or similar stuff...

A good place to start is the business directory of Angloinfo Rio de Janeiro. There's a section about shopping and style and clothing and shoe stores are divided over the different places, copa, Leblon, Barra...
