Urgent pls!!! Where can I get a bike in Riyadh?

Post new topic

Alisan

Hi all,

I was hoping if you could help me out..I'm looking for a bike (I'm 5.8) & I went to Marina mall but their bikes are for pros, plus they're very PRICY (4990/2900 SR). I've been to Toys R us, but their bikes are for teenagers or people shorter that me.
What I want is to bike just for the fun of it & for some exercise. Also I'm afraid if the bike has too many speed options that probably means more chances for something to go wrong, & I don't know how to fix bikes. So any tips or advice as to where can I find good bikes for people like me that are 400 SR or below?

Pls respond tonight or tomorrow (I need to buy one this week-end)

Thanks :)

Alisan,

Where you planning to ride???  Only place I've heard of is the DQ.  You've heard me bitch about my compound before--would you believe women are not allowed to ride bikes here?!?

musicman

I see so many Bangla Deshi car was guys riding bikes all over town. We once bought a bike for our houseboy who lived a few blocks away and didnt have trabsportation for SR 300

Salman Omrani

look for "hiraj bin qasim"

youll find it there somewhere, you'll need to do some walking though.

Alliecat

What is that place, Salman, and where is it located?

Remember that women have to pay for cabs/limos and if something is way across city, it can get expensive.  Example:  from my compound to IKEA is 50SAR each way!!  A few trips like that per week and there goes the budget lol

Salman Omrani

if your actually paying that much, your being ripped off big time.

I've told you about that place before haven't I?

its in south of riyadh, would cost around 25 SR by taxi if your in olaya, so add 10 sr extra if your in further north from there.

ask any taxi guy "hiraj bin qasim, he'll know sright away.

I'm not familiar with that, but here I've seen women ride bikes. So all you have to do is move to the DQ & we can both enjoy nice late afternoon rides together, how about that? :)

Hmmm! I doubt my husband would want to drive there esp in the week end when it can be REALLY crowded :( but thanks for your help, at least now I know one more place to look at!

Salman Omrani

trust me, it's "weekends" when you want to be there.

Alisan
