Hi everyone,

I'm julie, my husband and I were walking downtown in Jordan, Amman walking arm and arm on the sidewalk, and if you know the conditions and the hazards that you come across while walking on them, then you would know anything could happen at any given point. as for me I'm always tripping, slipping or comming close to falling. so knowing this as we are walking I hear my husband saying every 5 to 10 sec. be careful watch your step. and I mean this literally.

were walking on a small sidewalk arm and arm and in the middle of the sidewalk is this huge metal pole. not thinking anything about it, I mean how can you not see it right? well my lovely husband instead of letting my arm go so we can both go around it. He smacks right into the pole, LOL I couldn't maintain my laughter it was so funny. he's like what the hell just happen? as I continue to laugh.

ok so maybe you had to be their, not only was it funny it made my day, never laughed so hard...

so please share a youtube moment of your own.

Fred

Nope. None at all.

Well, I'm so old what I had was actually a "pre-Youtube" moment. It happened on my honeymoon in Victoria, BC - Canada. We got married in Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver (really romantic), took the ferry over to Victoria for our honeymoon, where I had reserved the Henry VIII suite at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel (a real Tudor cottage style hotel - chique). Having arrived early we left our luggage at the reception and drove to the downtown area to sightsee a bit. We ended up deciding to take a stroll along the Ogden Point Breakwater which juts way out into the Puget Sound. As we strolled along the breakwater, arm-in-arm I saw a beautiful Golden Retriever approaching (off leash). I love dogs so whistled to her and she trotted right over. Sat down at my feet and as I was commenting what a lovely dog she was, she proceeded to pee on my new shoes and the suitpants I was wearing. Since the luggage and a possible change of clothes was locked away at the hotel and I was too embarrassed to try and get something to change into anyway, we spent the next few hours of our honeymoon in a local laundromat, my suit jacket wrapped around me like a kilt while my pants and socks ran through the drycleaning machine. Wish I had captured it on video, not hellishly funny at the time, but it makes me laugh hysterically now when I think back on it.

(Yeah Hailey, I really am an old fart - don't forget, my Canadian Driver's Licence number was 0003 and I actually used AOL! LOL)

Thanks for sharing wjwoodward, great story.

We're probably all old enough to remember life before Youtube.  But this should make you feel old - I was born after CDs were invented.

James

Wow, you're right Hailey - I was born before floppy disks were invented, before the Commodore 64, and music came on vinyl - 78/45/33 rpm. Now THAT's old.

Cheers,
James

Remember the Mini-Disc ? They were just a smaller version of the CD's - funny thing, they didn't stick around for long.. :D

HaileyinHongKong

Vinyl?  That's what my boots are made of.

James

Hailey,

I'm so glad to hear that you're not responsible for the senseless killing of animals just to put them on your feet.

Oh yes, then there's our buddy Fred, he wears rubber boots because of the sheep. LOL

HaileyinHongKong

I'm responsible for the senseless killing of lots of animals.  I've murdered at least 100 mosquitos this week alone.

James

Do you make housecalls? You can come kill all those nasty little devils here anytime you want. Macaé has more flies and mosquitos than it does human inhabitants.

HaileyinHongKong

I live in the mosquito capital of the world.  I'm too busy to make house calls.
