Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to order a taxi without speaking Vietnamese. My company gave me a taxi card for Vinasun Taxi - so I depend on them.
Actually I always bother the security staff, but I would really like to know if it is possible to order it by my own. I could imagine that it might be a problem to pronounce the adress correctly.
I actually moved from the hotel to my apartment, which is in a very small street. I guess just waiting there till a free taxi drives by is useles....

Does anyone has experience with that? Thanks a lot for your help.

You should be able to call them directly. They have people who can speak English a little. Practice how to say your address in Vietnamese. Call taxi company and say "I need a taxi" they will know then that you speak English. Tell them as best as you can your address and they should come.

Okay I will try it in this way. I will ask my colleagues how to pronounce it exactly. I'll let you know how it works.

Thanks for the hint...

Hi,
You just dial the number and talk to them, but slow in English, there is someone to talk to you. So don't worry.
You have to try to pronounce address correctly. So it's easy for them to understand

You can also write down the address on a piece of paper and give it to the taxi driver.
