Family move to Dar

Post new topic

Eightytwenty

Hi,

We are a British family considering a relocation to Dar for my husband's job. My children are 5 and 3, and we'd be looking to put them into an international school.

I am looking for any top tips for expats who've made the same move. How easy is it to meet other families? How is life for children? How is life for wives (especially for one that is used to having her own career, friends and family support locally)?

Also has anyone had a baby in Dar? Trying to get my head round malaria...

Hi 8020,

No probs, you can easily move here. There are British education & Americal education available. Lots of children activities also there like Dance, Drama etc. For medical you should keep all necesorry medication with you from Britain but most of the Medicine available here. Maleria is not that big issue if you keep mosquitoes keep away.
You can also try to get job with NGO here.

Let me know if you need more help.
