When I arrive in July I am going to be needing all the help and advice I can get. I am looking forward to this new life and want to make suzhou my new home for myself and the kids:)

Welcome to Suzhou!
First time to Suzhou? Ok, let me give a brief introduction.
Suzhou city itself now can be divided into 3 main districts. Gusu District, Suzhou Industry Park and Wuzhong District.
Gusu District is the old city, where you can find many ancient buildings and gardens.
Suzhou Industry Park is the modern city, where skyscrapers locate.

I don't know where you will live, but maybe you will be live in SisPark cause there're are so many foreigners like you.

I just arrived in Suzhou a couple of weeks ago from Canada. So far Suzhou has been great.

If you're coming as an expat, I'm sure you'll get plenty of help for the DSP assigned to help you.

you can go to bars in Ligongdi. Many foreiger friends alway have activities in that region. I'm sure you'll soon find many new friends there and feel suzhou like home.
