christmas tree

Post new topic

This is probably the dumbest question ever on this board but I like to know if you can ship a christmas tree and ornaments to KSA. I keep seeing Expat.coms with pictures of christmss trees. Strictly for personal use in my home. What about childrens books about christmas or is customs notgoing to open the container and control the stuff?

I've read that post. It's brilliant! However, I don't see myself running all over Jeddah in search for a tree

Good luck any way :D:D

Our moving company told us not to bring any holiday stuff. We have a fake tee (due to living in a desert already) & many ornaments. Since we are only here a few years we have chosen not risk customs taking them away and losing our ornaments that are very special to us.....it means we will probably leave the KSA during the Christmas holidays so we can still see the christmas spirit somewhere.

dont need a tree to have christmas spirit.  plenty of events around riyadh and jeddah

actually, we have seen christmas trees on sale at Sarawat supermarket, Jeddah International Mall before, the one near Le Meridien- Jeddah.

of course, the trees were shorter and the ornaments did not offer much variety, but hey, we were surprised to see those as well...

a few weeks ago, we saw Easter Eggs- inspired chocolates on sale at Danube,

maybe they are more tolerant with some activities now, as compared to before.
