Hi,

My husband has an offer of 5500USD/month before taxes for the position of Branch Manager in a leading bank. Please advise about the cost of living in Kampala as we will be moving with our 3 month old daughter. The company is also bearing accomodation, water, electricity, conveyance & medical insurance.

We are concerned about the living conditions(though I have read very positive things about Uganda in this blog),mainly due to our little daughter.

Also is the salary enough for a decent living plus savings as I have heard the taxes are 30% flat.

Please reply at the earliest as we have to take decision by tomorrow & inform the company.

Thanks.

Hallo,

Salary is enough to live on,
you will have a nice live, rent a nice house, drive a good car, go to good restaurants, hospitals.

When your daughter grows older she will be able to go to a good school.

No at that salary you dont have to wory about your finances or comfort.

Have fun in Uganda.
