Sofa's and humidity

Post new topic

Hi, I'm moving across in  6 weeks and we are currently sorting out renting our flat in UK we have one dilemma as to whether we leave the sofas here or ship them.   Shipping them with rest of stuff would save us money but the sofas are fabric  and I don't know how well they will do in the humidity ? Would they end up being damp and smelly?  Any sofa issues or do people have fabrics that are fine?
Cheers M

Bring them - you'll only get mould when things are in un-aired cupboards, or get rained on. We've never had a problem with furniture.

Also, your choice of furniture is limited here - the cheaper items aren't exactly gorgeous, and the more expensive things are VERY pricey!

Good luck with your move.
