Oman air baggage limit

Hi !

I am getting ready to leave Oman after an year's stay to go back to Sri Lanka. I have heard that Oman air has increased the checked-in baggage limit to 40 kg for Sri Lanka (effective till September).

Is it true ?

Is it applicable to all the tickets (mine is a return ticket bought an year ago, when it was 30 kg) ?

They flight rules keep changing based on the season....if its peak time they might allow only 30kgs but if its off season ter s a possibility to carry 40...the best thing is to call ur agent or the airlines office and confirm. ..they ll tell u the exact allowance fr ur booking.

Well I have heard that from the ticketing agent but it doesn't reflect on the ticket.

That is what makes me worried in this country - nothing is clearly stated, and things can vary on one's opinion any time ! :-)
