I would like to know if I can buy the following products in Jeddah:

- Lactose free dairy products

- Persil pearls Sensitiv (or powder or any perfume free washing powder.Absolutely no powder or pearls for "color" etc).

- any detergent without perfume (so no detergent with "see-breeze" or something like that but it has to be neutral or "sensitiv"

- Senseo coffee pads ( or any pads for that matter)

The coffee pads are not urgent but the other products are urgent. Because of medical reasons I can only use these products for my oldest child. I need to know the availability otherwise I possibly need to ship those products in a large quantity.

Could you also provide the directions of the supermarket??

Thanks a lot!!

Hi,

For the milk, yes you can buy it fresh “AlMarai lactofree” . Al Marai is the biggest dairy processor in Saudi Arabia and you can find their products in all supermarkets, but for the lactose free ones you need to go to the bigger supermarkets like Danube or Panda.

For the detergents, I don’t think that you can find Persil pearls sensitive nor detergent without perfume, but your option could be using what we call “Nabulsi Soap” or the traditional soap. You can buy it in its original cubical shape or grated form. It’s made of pure olive oil with no additives or perfumes. The best ones you can buy from traditional herbs shops under the brand name of Al Jamal (Camel) made in Nablus city in West Bank.

For the coffee pads, sometimes you can find Senseo coffee pads in Danub  supermarket, but not always, anyways there are other brands that you can buy..

@Ahmadaq, thank you so much for your answers. I'll let my husband check Danube as soon as he arrives in Jeddah.

Ok…out of puuuure curiosity (or nosiness) call it whatever you want, but today when I went to Danube supermarket I had a look at  Coffee and Detergents stands.
They did not have any type of coffee pads but I know that you can buy them from some chain cafes like Coffee beans and tea leaves or from Nespresso shops , they will have the pads and/or the small plastic capsules.

For detergents, they have Persil Sensitive (50SR for 3Kg’s) it contain Anionic Surfactants , bleaching agent, optical brighteners , enzyme, dye and perfume (MILD PERFUME )..

Oh wow great!! Ok, the ingredients of the detergent are somewhat different than here in Europe. I just checked the box.
As soon as I come to Jeddah I will need to check it for myself.
Ariel will also do.
Is there also a Sensitive Fabric softener? Of a fabric softener specially for kids? They have those from a western company in Kazakhstan. Then I do not really need to use special detergent.
Or I'll just check out that soap you recommended. Is it also suitable for a washing machine??

Only Persil had a product for sensitive skin. They are marketing it for mothers to use it with their newborn infants /babies cloths.

You can’t use Nabulsi Soap for washing machines, only had washing
