Hi everyone,

I plan to visit Bangkok in this coming October. I've never been to Thailand.

Could anyone or maybe local Thai recommend some must-see places?
Any ideas would be appreciated! Thank you!

hi,

ignore MBK...they have gotten too expensive in the last few years...especially when they see farang (foreigners).

go to Platinum Mall (take the BTS to Ratchathewi and walk up the road or take motorbike taxi).

If you have time however, the cheapest place is the border market at the Cambodian border. They have busses that go there and back every day. You can find details online.

Other than that you can walk around the streets around Siam square but stay out of the malls as they are much more expensive.

Seacon Square and Paradise Park is also nice (they are next to one another on Srinakarin Road you will have to take the taxi)

You can also visit the Night Market (take BTS to Saphan Thaksin) and take a cab or the boat).

Have fun shopping and let me know if you need any more help :-)
