The most popular beach area is Sihanoukville. It is heavy with backpakers it is about a 4 hour bus ride from Phnom Penh for about 7 US Dollars. The dollar is the standard there. There is a major port in Sihanoukeville many Korean tourist come there. They dont have many beach front hotels most lye one block away there are lots of bars/resturants on the beach a good hotel to stay is the Aqua Hotel alot of expats hang there which is a great place to get more local info good luck rainey season is comming hope u success there

yes I came and visited for a month in June 2009...didn't see too many opportunities for my expertise in computer I. T., hard to understand the Khmer language, but I would love to live there, seems more peacable and quiet then Manila and the Philippines...which I visited this year for almost a month in the spring...

Dear CM EASY,
SO your wish is to set an IT business here? Well, as you already saw that the marketing here is a bit narrow for such business.

Don't you prefer any other businesses, such as guesthouse with pizzaa, sandwich shop, a bar and western and local food restaurant inside? Such business may give you better opportunity than the IT one as in Sihanouk Ville is a bit small city.
