Anyone import their pets into Poland? Advice??

I'm looking to import our dog (Shih tzu) from the US.

I've written about this topic on my blog and I'll give you the link to that below. In addition to that information, I'll suggest that you have your Polish vet give your dog and EU passport (really just a record of immunizations). With that, you can skip the USDA paperwork if you make the trip again.

Some US airports have pet relief area, some near the airport entrance, some (like Dulles) near the gates so you can access them with having to go through security again. So do a google search for that info. I haven't been so lucky when changing planes in Europe, but if the airline buses you from the plane to the terminal, I let him out on his leash before I enter the building, much to the bus driver's annoyance, but it's a real time saver.
