Cali  is rapidly growing and is said within the next 2 to 3 years will once again be a top city in Colombia again.  I don't know what degrees you have but you will have to have them translated and certified in Spanish for them to be excepted.  You will need a work visa and if you are a specialist that requires specific degrees (like a doctor or lawyer) you will likely need a special work visa. Double check with your local Colombian consulate. You can try applying before you leave for a work visa but without a contract it might be difficult to obtain. So you will likely have to come over on a simple tourist visa and then apply for a work visa if you can find a company that will sponsor you.

Be sure to convert all documents before you leave or it can be difficult and expensive to do it once your here.

Best if luck and keep us posted on how things go!
