Seriously they are paying 150 OMR for a lecturer or is it 1500 OMR?? Regarding the processing time for a visa, it varies greatly from case to case.

If they say they are providing a south Indian mess, then food must be exclusive from your package. Nevertheless 150 OMR is too less a package.

There are some excellent posts on the cost of living in Oman by other members, I suggest having a look through them. For queries on conditions of your room / living conditions, it is best to contact your employer.

150 OMR, IS FOR MY CHARGES FOR ROOM.

MY PACKAGE IS 1100 OMR. WILL THE FOOD PROVIDED IN MESS BE FREE OF COST.

AND I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THERE WILL BE ANY FURNITURE PROVIDED IN THE ROOM WITH BACHELOR SET UP.

I HAVE SUBMITTED ALL MY DOCUMENTS BUT I DINT GET ANY REPLY FROM THEM. WHEN THEY WLL PROVIDE THE APOINTMENT ORDER.

Now that looks a touch better, doesnt it.... I think they would be asking you to pay for the mess, as far as I remember it should cost about 20 - 30 OMR per month. You just have to ask them whether its a furnished / unfurnished accommodation. Normally if its a hostel kind of setup, then you could expect it to be furnished.

Appointment letter, shouldnt take long, its only a formal agreement between the two parties on a company letterhead. It is only the visa process that could take some time.
(Since we are in the holy month of Ramadan, expect a longer processing time).

Also, could it be that they are no longer considering you as a potential candidate, unless it is in black and white, there is no offer. Sometimes, Companies will go cold, if they feel that you are not the right candidate.... After all its business.

how many month time they will give me to join after that.
when will the classes starts normally in engineering college in oman. ie., which month.

Appointment letter is only an agreement between an employee and employer, if you are the right candidate, you could ask the employer for an appointment order and they should provide you one immediately within a day. See the government has no role to play in that....

visa is an entirely different subject....It should take about a month or longer (due to Ramadan). The rest of your questions are employer specific.... I am sure very few of us would be able to provide you with a credible answer for those questions....

Offer letter and Appointment letter are one and the same, make sure it mentions your remuneration package, your roles and your job designation...... Please call them and ask for the status....
