Expat free time - what to do ?

Post new topic

Many expat have this problem in a foreign land especially those who are recently posted or those whose family not with them .. they have free time and they do not know what to do ..

What would be the best activity that can engage the expat in his free time ?

Fred

I take photos amd post them in the Indonesia forum.

Being new in a country, there are always so many things to see, do, experience and explore. I have never been bored in my 15 years abroad - I just went out to see the many things and meet the many people I didn't know yet. (And there was never enough time for that!)

HaileyinHongKong

How can anyone be bored living in a foreign country?

Where did they go?

Find an obsession.

I guarantee after finding an obsession that you will have no free time at all and it will seem like play.

You won't need alarm clocks.

You will go to bed only when you are exhausted and get up long before the sun rises.

Cheers

Views went over the bandwidth limit so links were disabled by photobucket.
They limit you so you have to buy a pro account if you get too popular.
Of course, people simply open a second account and use that instead.
However, because I enjoy a change, I went all flickr.
That's why the new snaps are still around.

They should all be back now.

I spend time after my regular work to my my part-time business. I am enjoying it a lot 'coz I don't have boss, no pressure, the time is mine....and the business is really doing well. There is no reason to get lonely, but let's admit that there are times when we really miss our family

That's stupid.  Don't they want people to go to their website?  What's the benefit of limiting people?

Fred

You have to pay for the higher plans.

This is 2013.  There's always another site that does the same thing for free.

HaileyinHongKong

That's an odd assumption.

I enjoy sharing information and learning.
