Diapers and drinking water

2 Friends are coming for a months stay in AA and they are packing hundreds of diapers (Huggies) and actual bottled water to bring with them to use for their 6 month old baby.

I have assured them that they will find a store with western style diapers and safe clean bottled water but they do not believe me.

Could you kindly help me by giving me the names and addresses of western style supermarkets where they can purchase Huggies and bottled water?

Being an ex-ex-pat I know this makes no sense but they cannot take my word on it -- so help me out and give me the hard facts I need to convince them.

Many thanks!
Helen

I think, what i can say is there are a lot of mini to big supmarkets that sell the things you mentioned; if you go out to piassa to bole or megenagae in all square of addis ababa, that is where i live, you would find.I have an anunt who made the same mistake and finally was saying "What a waste of energy and money". She found it in a very mini shope, close to home. So if you want go to those international hotels, which have inside their own supermarkets. Tell them to "google" it just click away to see what is there or not. Anyways i gave you two links that lists a bunch of them,

i prefer the second one, go through it

Hello,

I am a us citizen originally from ethiopia with 2 kids currently living in addis----as your friend mentioned there are stores that sale bottle water so please do not carry those as far as diapers yes you can find pampers and other brands but they re a little bit expensive so depending for how long you will be there it won't hurt to take maybe a box of diaper...feel free to ask me any questions
