There are many ways, expats securing their stay. Depending on occupation/finances they choose commonly:

- overstay
- 3 Month visa / Visa runs
- Marriage (Visa exemption
- Investment / Residency
- Residency / Work permit

Yes, there is a huge percentage of expats here, possible the highest in Vietnam and the "expat industry" is adapted to the needs.

I have been here for 7 months now and simply go to one of the many tour companies to apply for an extension of 3 months. So far so good!!

I am here six years. Not been out for anything, just for holiday

When in NT it was very difficult almost impossible to find apartments for rent or for sale.Any ideas please ?

I know of many. What is your budget and what term are you looking for?

I know different people with different types of accommodations. I wouldn't bother them unless their rooms are in your budget. There are rooms with no services within a household for 75USD mo or a studio apartment starting at $300 per month up to $700 mo. There are 1 bd apartments starting at
$500 per month etc etc etc etc etc.

And then maybe buy?? Well yes there are units for sale. But here again what the frig are you looking for and how frigin much???

This is why I'm not a realestate agent!!! Too many choices and too many undecided people.

I was not asking you to make a blind offer on an unseen unit. I have a couple of friends who have units available however I do not want to waste their time if there units do not fit your needs. People who dabble normally have just enough information to be a pain in the ars.
