Cost of living: 15000RM/month gross enough for a family of 4?

I'm planning to accept a job offer and relocate to KL. Is it a good idea? Can we live comfortably?

We don't smoke or drink. But I heard that it costs a lot for international (primary) school, health insurance and owning a car. Does it cost much to live in a 3-bedroom house outside city centre?

how old r ur kids? schooling is a big expense. set aside 3k for housing. other expenses r manageable.

15k should be manageable, but try ur luck with something higher. good luck!

You will need between MR 30,000 and 40,000 for international school...at grade 1 type levels... at higher levels it will go up to 45 to 50 K.... School is the biggest cost for us - almost twice our rent....
There are some cheaper (look up Tanah Rata) but that will affect where you will need to live ...
Good luck! We found looking at costs and estimating what we needed one of the hardest things in deciding whether to go or not!
