Hi,

For the ones living in Toulouse, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Toulouse, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in Toulouse?

Thank you in advance for participating ;)

There must be many variations of things to do but here are my personal preferences:

Daytime

1. Les abbatoires-modern art museum

2. Grande Ronde - S. of metro Francois Verdier, very nice park

3. Prairie des Filtres - Also nice park to have a picnic in on a fair weather day

4. Capitole building - At place Capitole, building contains some of the most beautiful painting you will find in the regions depicting the historic occitan culture

Nighttime

1. La Dynamo - best concert venue in Toulouse. The bands are not well known, but they are almost always worth a listen to given you like the genre.

2. Pl. Arnaud Bernard - near stn Compans Cafrelli, some nice bars and usually some live music.

3. Connexion - Near Jean jaures - Usually live music /DJs, good depending on night.
