Hi,

For the ones living in the Nevada, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in the Nevada, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in the Nevada?

Thank you in advance for participating ;)

Red Rock Canyon & Mt. Charleston both outside of Las Vegas.

Mt. Charleston just had a huge wild fire over the summer, but in the heat of the summer it is topping out at high 70's and 80's which is very comfortable. Also has skiing in the winter.

Red Rock is better in the winter, but has great hiking.

Boulder City for antiques and the Hoover Dam. Walking along the new bridge bypass is new and fun to see the Dam a different way.

Lake Tahoe, Lake Mead are also beautiful....Lake Las Vegas for a weekend getaway.

The Las Vegas strip has numerous paid and unpaid activities that you can due. Each casino usually offers some exhibit (I.e. Aquarium at the Mirage, Volcano at Treasure Island). Avoid using the monorail. It is an absolute nightmare. I would only use it if you were going from the first stop to the last stop.
