Hello all !!
I am a new member to this community. I am a Pediatrician by profession and have been recently offered a post by MOH, Oman most likely will be posted in Muscat, Royal hospital with a monthly remuneration of 2200 OR + Free hard furnished accommodation + yearly return airfare for me and my family.
I have a family with 2 kids 6 yrs and 18 months old.
With the present living costs is it an enough salary to live decent and save for the future?
Could someone also please help me with schooling of my elder son........ it seems a waiting list in every Indian school? Are there primary schools only from classes 1-5?
Many thanks in advance

schaz

Dear dr_aich!
We at EB welcome you at this beautiful and the most peaceful country in the whole world. You've been offered quite a decent package and you'll be leading a comfortable lavish life in here. The major worry in Oman is always the accommodation and the best part of your package is that it has been taken care.

Have a look at the  Cost of Living forum where you can read and analyze the expenses of daily routeen life.

I can't guide you about the schooling as i have no idea about it, however I'm sure someone out here will definitely shed light on it soon.

Best of luck and have a pleasant stay in Oman.
