Be thankful for the peace and quiet?

He could be spouting on about his latest bit of technology or how stupid people on the internet are or how wonderful and sexy that actress is or how the new girl at work is really pretty.

All things my wife complains about when I talk about them.
I usually miss out references to pretty ladies as I'm takut potong potong sosis.
For non-Indonesians, that's 'scared of sausage slicing'.

Fred

As for solutions - Food and sex usually stimulate men.
Especially if the food is nice and sored> are involved in the latter.

The best solution to any relationship problem is to ask a bunch of total strangers what someone they know absolutely nothing about is thinking.

OI - I've thought about setting up a "dear Fred" agony sheep page.

You know, I would actually read your advice column.

I have read that the basic advice for new wives in Australia is this: whenever he isn't asking for sex, make him a sandwich.

Hi
I  think  you've  done your part as a g.f. asking him "whats wrong"and he answered you in a positive way.. all you need to do is respect his silence ..you may focus on what you are doing right now maybe school at work etc..i  am sure he got the mssg you are concerned with him...

I would give him space to be left on his own for a while , if things still the same say after 1 month ... leave him to his own silence !... Maybe he has a big personal problem maybe its his family ,who knows what this silence is all about if he is telling you every think is okay then let him be for a while ...move on if things don't improve ,there is nothing else you can do ! blessing to you x

Fred

He's probably got a new girlfriend and trying to work out how to dump you least painfully.
That or he's gay and it's a boyfriend.
It could be something as simple as, he had a one nighter and picked up a dose.

HaileyinHongKong

That's it.  He's gay.  Problem solved.

Next.

I'm a quiet person too, I speak when I like to speak and whom I wanted to talk. I keep silent when I felt I need to be. Mostly I want to be alone. What I'm saying is, your BF will appreciate more if you support him but let him feel that still action speaks louder than words, let him felt that your always besides him. Lovers should always understood each other and respect one another.

Hi laurenct!

Whew! Some men are like that. I mean they are acting like that when they have something that bothers them. Their mind is kind of focus on the issue and it's either they are hesitant to share it with you. Some men like to share their problems over to men over a drink because for them when they have alcohol in their system they felt confident, courageous to express what bothers them.

And from my observation based on what you said, your relationship is safe. He probably have little issues at work or family problem but be patient. Just be there for him and refrain from asking him over and over again. Wait, one day he will have the courage to tell you what bothers him, ok?

Hope this help!

Gold xx

As you mentioned, he used to talk and now he started to keep silent. My opinion is that he has a current problem, and mostly a work related issue.
Most of the cases that men don't share problems related to work, also they appreciate to be given some space during such a time.
So it is preferred "not to push", whenever the time is suitable for him to talk about it he will.
