I would like to find out more about available doctors and health care clinics in Accra and what they charge for a doctors visit for something simple like a cold?

In theory skype is available but people sometimes have problems with it. As to cost it all depends on the length of the call as it can use up all your credits if you use it with video. Here in Ghana there is no unlimited usage on most phone/internet plans and you pay for every megabite of data.
The cost of healthcare depends on the type of hospital you use. If you use the public system it is cheap but at a private clinic you will have to register and then pay a consultation fee each time you visit. Registration is usually 50 cedis and I think consultation fees are similar. Medicines are available in local pharmacies and are more expensive than in the UK.
