Expat life in Gabon with older kids ?

Hi there,

My Husband is going to work in Gabon not sure which part . The details are not clear at this point. We lived in Abu Dhabi for 5 years and are currently back in the UK . I can't find very much info online at all apart from hotels.

My question is, is it safe to bring kids, I doubt my 19 year old will accompany us , but do people take their secondary school age children , and whats life like for them . We are ex military and have always travelled together , I'm not sure whether to go on this trip or wait it out . Any info at all will be gratefully received as I have very little clue about Gabon.

oh my friend brit, infact theres no cause for alarm. i live in libreville. i assure you, the town is conducive for ur secondary school age child, for there are nice schools especially for you whites. for there are many whites here living with their families.
