Jeweler's Row in Saigon?

Post new topic

Is there a part of Saigon known for it's jewelry stores?  Like a jeweler's row?

There are lots of jewelry stores in district 1 around the Ben Thanh market area. I have bought items from the shop at the corner of Le Loi and Nguyen Trung Truc streets. I bought there only because a local Vietnamese told me it was "OK". Otherwise, I'm a little wary that I'm getting the quality I'm paying for at any of the local places here.

For diamond & gold jewelry:An Duong Vuong, Q.5, Nguyễn Duy Dương(An Dong Market area), Q.5, Như Tâm, Q.5, Lê Thánh Tôn, Q.1, Phan Bội Châu, Q.1, Phan Chu Trinh, Q.1(Ben Thanh Market area)
Warning: If you want to buy 24K, 18K, 14K or 10K jewelry, please make sure it's real respective amounts of gold included! (eg: if you buy 14K jewelry it may be below 6K :D)
If you buy diamond make sure it's certified (GIA, PNJ, SJC or RGG)!
As I mentioned earlier, "Cheat" is not a new vocabulary here in any sphere! So beware and vigilant as a consumer!

To check your gold carat: Go to 302-304 Tran Phu (Nhu Lam Jewelry), Q.5 and pay 15000.00 VND.Good luck!
