School Assessment

Post new topic

annie786

Hi,

I have heard that the ISG requires an assessment for new students at admissions.
Could someone please tell me what the  assessment looks like, are there any examples available?

My kids (5 & 9 years) do not have English as a first language (European background); how does ISG  take these children on board? They do understand English, but do not speak it fluently.

Thanks,

Annie

Annie786,
I am in the same boat as you for assessment, but don't have problem with kids English. I believe they provide all help that is needed to get the kids upto speed with Englinsh fluency (for what they charge for fees, they will do whatever they can).  I wouldn't worry much about it.  You should be all right.

So, have you finally decided on ISG?  Could you share your thoughts on the decision Vs Jubail Int'l School ( JIS /Al Hussan)?  I would like to put my kids in a better/rigorous curriculum, and somehow get the feel that JIS is better than ISG.  But if the curriculum is same for lower grades (5th and 1st for my kids) I have no problem with either for now.
