Talise

Hi there. I am CCRN. I will be moving to Jeddah at the end of November to work at KFSH. How is it to work there for an American nurse?

Hi Talise
Jeddah is quite nice, you gonna love it. However no deep dish pizza there =p

Talise

Absence of pizza is not an issue:) I was wandering about nursing practice scope at the hospital, autonomy, nationalism issues... Etc

Pizza is by no mean absent in Saudi Arabia, we have pizza hut and such and also local pizzerias.
Putting that aside, as a nurse you will have no issues in the work place as far as I can see. Nothing more than what you would face in the US.

I'm not sure what you meant with autonomy and nationalism issues,  my English could only take me so far =p.

don't worry its OK in jeddah they are open to anyone.. theirs a lot of different nationality here in jeddah.. u can easy to adjust here.. work in hospital here in saudi maybe its ok base on my observation I'm a food server in king fahad..

Oh now I get it... just as Faiz said, you wont have any issues in that regard. The west coast of Saudi Arabia is like a melting pot and you will meet people from all over the globe. Any notion you may have right now of how things are in Saudi Arabia will be no more, relatively Jeddah has the most open minded mentality in Saudi Arabia
