Hi there,

We are planing to move Australia for PhD program and work.
Small family 2 working adults and 1 kids 8yrs.

Can anyone answer the following queries:
- Which city is best suitable for job and study?
- How much a cost of PhD program?
- How much a rent of 2 bedroom apartment in middle range area?
- What is pay scale for managerial post?
- How much cost of schooling for grade 4 or 5?
- Does government provide medical and school facilities for student visa dependent?
- How do you rate Australia? Expensive / Very Expensive / Economical?

Please answer the above question, thanking you in advance for your cooperation.

I will give you some answers.

1. You need to find out which university has the PHD program you wish to study then that will dictate the city. For work you can only work part time on a student study visa.

2. Contact the universities for costs.

3. Rents are expensive all around Australia especially in the cities.

4. Cannot help you with pay scale.

5. Schooling is expensive for private. Public schools are cheaper but all schools are governed by boundaries so where ever you choose to live you will have to send the kids to a school in that are.

6.The govt will not pay any medical expenses for foreign students and family.

6. Australia is expensive. It is in the top 10 of the most expensive countries in the world. For cost of living www.numbeo.com this site will give you costs for rents food etc.
As cities are crowded travel is slow.
