I am in a similar situation as u explained. I am an expat and a christian sharing a flat with two muslim guys' males* who are local here. We've been staying together for over a year.  I don't know the Malaysian or Muslim rules which relates to this issues but so far it's been good.

Hi if someone complains to the local religious police ie Perkim or jais then you could be raided and in real trouble as a Muslim. However that usually only really means local Malay and only affects the Muslims "living in sin". The separate bedroom would be no defence in that case. I wouldn't worry unless you upset a neighbour

Well thanks . But i mean what kind of trouble i can get into?are they gonna fine me or what?

Mark mac

I really dont know .its really crazy here .lol. really really great...............where r u from anyway?

Nothing to worry about. Doesn't apply* to foreigners (even if your jealous neighbor were to report you they wouldn't bother to come to your place  :) )

*= in practice.

Mark mac

thanks man . i really feel better to hear that.

It is similar reaction you will get if you stay same way in your country.
