Hi Pinasatta,

Welcome to expat-blog!

A new topic was created from you post on the Kuala Lumpur forum for better visibility and interaction.

I suggest you to post an advert in the Flats for rent in Kuala Lumpur section, with details of what you are looking for. :)

Thank you,

Dear Pinasatta,

My name is Dave Danial and I represent JADS' Consult here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We specialize in providing home search and lifestyle services to expats relocating to Kuala Lumpur. We would like to think of ourselves as a one-stop shop for all our corporate clients' property needs be it providing home search services, sourcing for the right school for the children of our expat clients, assisting in car and furniture rentals and in some cases also visa applications.

Do take note that you will not incur any cost for our services as its the owners of the properties that we represent that pay our bill. We have a strong presence in the city center Klang Valley area and its surrounding areas as well. We are very familiar with schools such as Alice Smith. If you like i would be more than happy to assist you with your home and school search.

Regards,

Dave Danial

One of the drawbacks of Alice Smith is it's location.  There are no expat child-friendly living areas very close to it (urban KLCC City Centre is closest) - so a car journey would be necessary twice a day. The area suffers from very heavy traffic as it is on the edge of KL City, although the school is set up on a hill in a more rural area. Access is therefore potentially a bit of a problem.

Because of potential waiting lists - it may be good to check a few schools to see what is the situation and if they take in children midway through a term.

Also check whether pre-schools are run by native English speakers, if that is important to you.

Kuala Lumpur is rather different to Singapore in many ways.  Therefore I can highly recommend Agnes as she has a local and international perspective. She can take care of every aspect of your needs and provide a "woman's touch" and understanding of aspects that will be important for you and your family.

Alice Smith and Australian International School will provide shutter bus in between Gita Bayu and the school.
