As far as renting cars you have to do it in Erbil and it's pretty expensive better to come here and take taxi's and then find someone that you can rent his or her car from. You can take a visa from the Embassy of Iraq in Lebanon. It isn't that difficult but if you know someone here it is better to have the university or your friend send you an invitation. It will save you time and cost.
