Guys.. 'Theory of Karma has been going rounds in Indian ancient history, dating back to 'Bhagwad Gita' and many older 'Puranas'.
The idea was carried to the West by the works of 'Theosophical Society'.. More and more people now have started believing in 'What goes around, comes around'...!
So my question to all you people out there is if you believe in this theory. Or if you had any experiences related to 'Karma'..
Cheers..! :)

Si claro, somos pura energía en constante evolución y la Ley del Karma se cumple indefectiblemente. Reencarnamos y en cada vida cosechamos lo sembrado...de esa manera se va modificando nuestro karma.
Saludos.

As this is an Anglophone forum could you please write in English so that we all may understand your post and be of assistance.

Thanks.

stumpy, Fred said basically....

Yes, of course, we are pure energy in constant evolution and the Law of Karma is unfailing. Reincarnation and in each life we reap what has been sown ... this is how it is changing our karma.

Cheers

I believe in instant karma.

In other words if I treat people badly it usually will come back to haunt me. If I do evil things I will have consequences as a result.

As far as traditional karma that we were born with because of the actions of a previous life, I do not buy that. Many people use karma as an excuse to not take action and change their lives.

For the sake of argument however I would say we are here to rise above whatever Karma we are born with.

Do you believe in Karma?

I sure do - I had an excellent chicken karma yesterday.
Other than that, not really.

I believe the most handsome and sexy will always do really well; even if they have a lousy sense of humour.

If we know and believe that Karma is gonna hit us back, then why do we ask forgiveness from GOD?

There are at least 3 very big assumptions there.

You mean.. know, believe and GOD?

I do not think the Buddhists or Hindus believe in asking for forgiveness from god.
I am not sure about Islam or Judaism. Followers of Jesus ask for forgiveness. You would have to ask them why. But not all of them believe in Karma.

I am not sure there is a god. But honestly I do not know.

Buddhists do all the time.  Christians and Jews ask for forgiveness because of all that sweet, sweet sinning.

One way or the other, it does come back to you. You have to be aware to realize it though.

I don't believe in karma, but what you put out there does come back to you.

There are many things that I don't believe in,and I tend to let it go or let it be a mystery as it's beyond our power.

We are only human.

If you do good in life you get good back ...you do bad in life then bad will come to you ...

We used to put karma on apples every autumn.

Ok, but what about if you're not around anymore when the thing comes back?

Imagine that Jim reincarnates in Jane... assuming that this happens, we know that Jane is unaware of Jim, so... may we say "Jane's karma"? Yes, if we mean 'by accident'. That's not much different from saying "luck".

In some scripture, you have the Buddha asked about reincarnation, somehow he could not be that clear on that topic, and he simply said that it's similar to a flame moving from a candle to another candle. Now, as we identify with this candle here, and have no consciousness of the flame (unless we're mystics) Jim may well do as he wants, the problem is Jane's problem. Regarding the short-term karma (from me to me) sometimes we may have the impression (right or wrong)that it's working, but still, a glance to the life of well known people shows that, basically, the karma clearly doesn't work much, or not at all, over the single life span.

Then, if all is one and separation is but illusion, as it is typically said in Asia (and in the west too, though less often) then there's no difference in who gets the result of somebody's actions - the going and coming around may be a mere random process and non one God of Justice will ever give a shit.

That said: ssst! This fancy of the karma may be working on the son of the bitch who's behind your door.

I do believe in karma, I also believe that if you do bad things to people it will come back at you either directly or indirectly.....

To keep it as simple as it is: doing good is feeling good, as the good that you make comes from within you. In doing bad, the bad is also first of all in you, and it poisons. So being a bit smart should be enough to behave morally, no need of concepts. Karma is just a word, love is something you can actually make. Enjoy and shine.:par:

Don't know about in the USofA Hailey, but in Canada we'd do handsprings if we were lucky enough to have somebody give us a karma apple when we went trick-or-treating at Halloween. It was like striking it big in the Loto.

I am Christian and so I do not believe in Karma. Nevertheless, I believe that each one of us will choose his faith and follow his way. To me, following Jesus is the only way.
Love you all

i do not believe in karma, because 'karma' it's just a bad things called.

Christians most definitely believe in karma.  They just don't call it karma. Galatians 6:7.

It's only bad if your actions are bad.

Hi All,

Its as simple as you reap one seed of any fruit and result of that seed will give you the same fruit. So if you can name it karma then it is in your hand dont do wrong but if you think to do wrong and not doing it because of afraid of karma then also you have put the seed in the ground and one day it will come out.
So never mind to do anything just try to know that you are doing it in full concious nothing will go wrong and karma will not do anything for you.......

That's an important point. We easily tend to relate karma to actions, while it is traditionally seen as  a result of thought, where each thought is, indeed, a seed.

expatanswers

i believe that good actions bring positive results in one's life. if that is what karma is- then i am a believer
