Living and working in Canada

Hello, anyone have any thoughts about living and working in Canada? Currently in Southern Idaho, moved here from the Seattle WA area for a job. The position will be gone soon due to unexpected events so I am looking to use my skill set in another country. I am looking at Canada. I am a food and beverage professional with over 15 years in the industry. I have worked most of this in the quality end of the business, with some retail experience as a department manager and 3 years as a fresh and frozen seafood buyer for a broad line distributor. Other than general job searches on craigslist and careersinfood I do not know where else to look. Any advice?

James

Hello Charles,

You can try www.workopolis.com  or  www.monster.ca  too.

If you find something then visit the (official government) Citizenship and Immigrations Canada website, fill out the online information and see if you qualify for a visa.

I will, and thank you!

At this time the site said I did not, but I can apply for a visa while in Canada itself. I have applied for several jobs in Canada but no word yet, wondering if having an interested employer would help with that.
