Iqama Transfer Letter from new sponsor

Dear All,

I wanted to know what is the iqama transfer process. I would also like to know what the documents required are and if someone has a sample of the 2 letters (demand & release).

Procedures to apply for transfer of sponsorship:    link to MOI

Fill the relevant form; stamp and sign the form by the current employer and new employer; and attach an applicant's photograph.

Submit a letter of waiver from the current employer certified by the Chamber of Commerce and attach Chamber's receipt for companies, institutions and individuals; and if the sponsor is individual, the waiver letter must be certified from the mayor and the police.

Submit a letter from the new employer requesting release, accompanied by a computer chip containing number of workers he has.

Submit a copy of valid CR or licence of the municipality along with the originals for matching with the family book of the new employer.

New employer must fill a pledge form to keep the new labourer, and not to let him work for others.

Submit valid originals of the passport and residence permit of the worker whose services to be transferred, and attach a copy of same.

Worker's profession must be appropriate to activity of new employer.

Pay the transfer fees (2000 SR for the first time, 4000 SR for the second time and 6000 SR for the third time) but only after the submission and approval of the application by the relevant officer, in any of the authorised banks.

If the expat has transferred service already and listed in former passports, all these passports must be submitted.

Fingerprint enrollment is a must.

After completing the required documents and submitting the application, the applicant shall await the employee to finalise the service, and get the passport and residence permit.
