Hi Frangiman. We haven't been to Surat Thani yet but do plan on going there one day. What would you recommend seeing while we are there?

hi, its basically a work town but we have the new Central Plaza, absolutely huge with some great eateries, there is the night market and you can get to some of the top Islands from here on sleep over boats or day ferries. We also have one of the biggest if not the biggest dams in Thailand close by as well, 3 hours from Phuket & Trang, around 1 hour to Nakhon si Thammarat(best silver, home made jewellery etc at great prices)so there are several options in the area. Ranong is only a couple of hours away too and you can get the ferry to Burma, only 20 to 30 minutes away or you can hire a longtail boat to go there. Chumpon is about the same distance as NST at 1 hour, reall;y depends on what you like to do but there are several options.
