Which country/countries would you like to live in and why?

I might move to the US (Los Angeles) for an IT job... because I think working in the US is a good way to learn how to make business in a different way.

Otherwise I would have moved to Australia for the sunny lifestyle they've got there, or to Japan because I'm found of Japanese culture (but I heard it can be very difficult to live there), so maybe Hong Kong would be a first good step for Asia ...

There are actually so many countries I'd like to discover!

What about you?

Absolutely right where I am, in Dominican Republic.
I have lived in Europe ( as I am from there ), Russia, USA, Jamaica and last 6 years here.
Climate, people, cost of living ( although it is double since we moved here )...
Close to civilization if needed ( 90 min to Miami )...nature, easy and casual way of living.

We are in our third year in Turkey, in Ankara. The life here is wonderful, people are very friendly, we learned the language, have a lot a friend, there's many possibilities to travel around the country, wıch is pretty nice... BUT... Because the job of my husband begin to be a bit boaring, we begin to think about the next destination... this is our top six :
-Marocco
-Syria
-Hollanda (I don't know if this is the correct name of that country... so you know...Amsterdam)
-Belgium
-Spain
-Italy
We allready began to send CVs, email and stuff and we'll see...
have a nice day

I'm thinking about moving to Scotland. I've just moved to the UK last September and I've never been happier. I love this country. One of the beauties, I think, is that you get four for one in a way. I like the fact that I can move all across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland without a problem. The thing is that I need to spend at least five years here because I want to apply for British citizenship. So for me being someone who doesn't seem to be able to stay at one place for a long time, this is just perfect.

I've just been to Scotland which is not too far from where I live. I'm a student. So being able to move relatively cheaply is somewhat important. It's absolutely amazing. I might actually be able to move by train!

Well I am currentanly living in a country that is foreign to me, usa, even with Obama. and I like it because it has a good social system, it's very pretty, people spend a lot of time outside, very healthy food available. Some other places we are thinking about moving are Austrialia, because it is warm and we have skills we think could get us in, or Grand Caiman Islands because it is tax free and my husband might be able to get a job there and it is warm with beaches.

I might move to Australia in few months, but I don't know much about life expense there, life style, or the Australian peaple.
Especially when I move with my wife and 2 sons I might be getting into an advanture of moving to a totaly unknowen world, may be like a journey to the core of the Earth.
But I like moving among the world. I'm Egyptian and used to stay in Egypt most of my life, then moved to Dubai UAE for two years before travelling to Turkey where we settle now. And I think that it's the beginning of my trips around the world.

Julien,

Los Angeles is a great place to start a new life experience.  If you are not familiar with the city and need suggestions, contact me.  I used to live in the neighborhood of Los Feliz for a number of years that has easy access to nice restaraunts and public transportation.  Cheers. :)

Every country is good to live in as long as it is habitable and there is no war going on there. Left with me, I would love to live in Australia, New Zealand, Brunei or Qatar. But whether this dream will come true or not is left for time to tell
