Moving to Spain in September with nothing but a backpack and my car...

I am determined to put in as much effort as possible to make this move work. If I end up clearing tables in a bar - well, I'll take that over my office job in the UK even if it means a few lifestyle changes ;)

I have been learning Spanish since Janurary. I have a TEFL and some experience teaching English in Japan.

A friend of mine is also coming, he has less money saved than me, and is probably a little more clueless. But he's a really "chill" person and I'm sure he'll find his feet "magically".

Do I know what I'm doing?

Not entirely.

Am I commited?

Yes. I've sold most of my stuff already, and put in about 100 hours to learning Spanish.

I've done some pretty crazy shit in my time, this is probably the most crazy.

Would LOVE to get in touch with anyone else who's hitting Spain this summer and is in a similiar position (no job, no passive income, mediocre savings) to chat/compare notes. PM me.

This is definately going to be interesting, no doubt about that.

Not to worry. Old threads get dragged up from time to time, some more interesting than others.
You spotted the other poster's minor error, but I rather enjoyed reading the OP - Wonder how he got on.
