kryptonite123

yeah, it's kind of 'official'.  which part of hcmc are u at now? what industry?

anthrobus13

I'm living in District 1 in a hotel at the moment. but have secured an apartment nearby on Hai Ba Trung and will move there by next weekend I hope.
I work in advertising, in the digital arm.

generally, malaysians are very passive as compare to the other nationalities.

wonder why?

freaky@VN

some will some wont la i think. but i think we should do some small gathering to get along more ;p

alan78

yup, thanks for the welcome...hahahah...im into furniture retail industry....been here for 3 mnths and still surviving...how bout u??

kryptonite123

this is my 5th year.

i'm in the property line.

property is now a slump.

alan78

wow...5 yer and still surviving.....so u can be my sifu here!!

kryptonite123

Cari makan.

Bien Hoa is far from city centre. Usually i go to District 1 if i miss malaysian food.

alan78

tell me bout it,.....everything seems to be far from city coz of the massive traffic!!speacially dongnai highway traffic!!...even thu duc and bin duong!!!

anthrobus13

Kryptonite 123, you got to tell me where to go to get good malaysian food man. I had a nasi lemak in one of the malaysian restaurants (dont remember which one) but it was reallly disappointing!

Maybe we should have a gathering at one of these restaurants eh? :D

kryptonite123

usually  i go to Halal @ Saigon or sometimes to Satay House.
in vietnam,  we have to lower our expectation.
food will not be as tasty as back home and it's more pricey.
where do u stay in hcmc?

dreamrider

Hi everyone,

I had dinner at VN.Halal last friday and it's nasi goreng kampung was really different, no ikan bilis or kangkung..

where is Satay house?

freaky@VN

@alan78: you also in furniture field?? me too. which company u in now? where u stay?

kryptonite123

Can't expact much here.

Satay house is at 307 25 Nguyen Van Troi Street, Phu Nhan District.

It's near the airport. Food is good.

dreamrider

Binh Duong province is hardly TP HCM.

They are separate provinces. They are about 20 kilometres apart. See: < http://fotoget.blogspot.com/2011/03/how … -minh.html >.

Thousands of Malays here. Just walk around Cho Lon on a weekend and you will see.

There are also many certified Halal food stores around. Search the forum.

As for schools, a Singaporean 'brainwashing' spreading the 'good' word of LEE, Kwan-Yew. Many better schools around, though.
