hi to be honest two types of investors in Malaysia.

1. Serious ones with capital. They have experience and seek out a lawyer to handle paperwork they focus on the business decisions required like type of restaurant, target demographics, location, competition etc. They may use a forum as one of many methods to suss out these factors but realise forums are not the main research avenue. Their chance of success is very high.

2. First time investors. Don't have experience of running a business think opening one in a foreign country will be easy and heard they will make a fortune for hardly any work. They try to avoid spending money on a lawyer and ask for help on forums. Changes of business failure 95%+

I suggest you have a deep think why?

You will need RM 1 Million in capital to set up a restaurant in Malaysia. There are some restrictions on the format i.e. it cannot be a small restaurant.
