Post new topic

Hi, I'm buying a house near Ivrea, north of Turin and need an English speaking geometra. If you know of one you can recommend that would be great. It would be good to chat/meet anyone who has bought a place in the region. I'm interested in inspection vists May/June/July 2010.

Hello Jazzy, I emailed the Italian & British embassy/consul for  English speaking Lawyers & got a list for the area, they may have geometras, Mick

Hi Mick, thanks for the reply. If you've still got the link to the consul you used, could you post it as a reply to this? I tried emailing the consul in Milan but they said they didn't have anything. Maybe I tried the wrong person!

Hello Jazzybossa, I have just looked at the site it was british embassy italy it list lawyers but no thread to geometras, but all is not lost, type in google( geometra ivrea) pick the top thread and it lists 29 geometras I think you may have mail a few, use google language tools compose & translate. Ask in English & Italian then Lei parla inglese ?  I have done this for architects in Sardinia some reply some don't. if I think of anything else I'll mail you. Mick

Mike, you're a star. There's loads of 'em! I thought I did the obvious google thing. Must be wearing my belt and mt braces. If you ever get time it would be interesting to hear about your experiences in Sicily etc. Best, Jazzy.
