but to let you know : here in Santiago it's summer ! the hot sun is so cooolllllll.
May be a bbq at the end of the week :D

Julien

We just launched the south america forum a couple of weeks ago, I hope we'll see more and more people after a few weeks. Beurredemani, do you actually know how I could promote the website in Chile and south america? (maybe on other forums)

Enjoy the weather, here in Europe we are at the beginning of a cold winter!

Escott

Well I guess I have to post here although I am in the Caribbean:)  I am in the Dominican Republic although I was in Panama and Colombia very recently but on business.

We have warmth all year here and the sun depends on if there is rain or not!  LOL

Escott

Julien

I am jealous Scott, it's very cold here in Europe ... and it's raining in London (as usual)!

I should have specified that this forum is dedicated to the Caribbean too! ;)

Escott

Nah, give us our own!  I think we now have more expats in the Caribbean than in Central and South America on the site!

Julien

Everything is possible Escott, I can create your own forum!

Would you animate/moderate it?

Escott

I am not the moderating sort but Carina or Chiri would do a great job!

Avocado

I agree a Dominican Republic section would be GREAAAT.  Living here is absolute Paradise even though it is raining the temperature must be in the high twenties C.

Forgot to add go to :

http://avocadolibrian.blogsot.com

As Scott says you don't have to shovel this stuff.

Julien

Escott, are you in contact with Chiri and Carina? Do you think they'd like to animate and moderate the Carribean forum?

carina

Escott, you are...hm...what you are..

For you folks.. I work for a living, so does Chiri... And our dear friend Escott, he is a kinda retired Donald Trump... So Skotty boy, do the moderator thing, and promise to not behaive!! LOL

Julien

:lol::lol::lol:

Hardly

Julien

Don't worry, I can moderate the forum, but as I don't know anything about your local life I won't be able to animate it

Escott

Hey, now that we have Avocado here I would love for him to moderate it!

Go BRIAN!

Hey Julien, I just looked the Dominican Republic Blogger Expats Especials out number every country other than us in your listing and we equal the whole shabang!

We DEMAND our own forum!  LOL

carina

No one need to animate forums for people living in the Dominican Republic.
We´re specialists on that ourselves!

Your work as a moderator would me more...hm how should I put it...
to stop us!!!

carina

SO GIVE US OUR FORUM NOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!:cool::cool:

Julien

I'll arrange something tonight ;)

Scot,

Much too busy.  About to open the Winery later this week ans have still to unpack everything.  Drop by sometime.  You'll find it interesting I'm sure.

Julien

Here you are guys, I've create a new forum: "Living in the Carribean"

This forum is yours, I hope you'll make a good use of it :)

beurredemani

cool but nobody in south america.....
what is cool in the Carribean ??? ;-)

Julien

Beurredemani, we need your help with the South America forum ... and hopefully, little by little, we'll retain people.

The biggest problem is that nobody in th expat-blog team is living in South America or in the Carribean so it's not easy to talk about it ... but we created the place to make people share their experience ;)

How lucky you are!
It's -15° in Montreal today... and we're expecting 30 cm of snow for tomorrow.

joost

to julien: one way to promote it is on the forum at "dave's esl cafe". much of forum activity, lots of people living in south america. almost all of them teach english.

Julien

Welcome Joost, thanks a lot for the idea!

I'll have a look to Dave's ESL cafe when the blog platform will be ready :)

Take care,

Julien

Okay, don't worry you'll be getting lots more talk about the south american forum. I'm going to put a post about it front and center in my blog. And, I'll pass it around to people I know in Argentina. The only problem in Bs.As. (Buenos Aires) is that there are several forums there already but we can always use another good one!

Hey beurredemani, there's a guy named Jonstreet, a new user, looking for info on Chile. He put a post in a different part of the forum. I bet you could help him out.
