Not sure if that is a good idea, seeing as Hungary were part of the enemy in WW1.

Sorry? Why's it not a good idea?

It's a perfectly reasonable idea since it's a Commonwealth War Cemetery.

I've been quite a few times and it's generally well attended, perhaps 60 to 100 people.

Usually attending are the Commonwealth representatives of: UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India etc.

I think last year, even the Hungarian Minister of Defence was there along with a guard of Hungarian buglers.

One can also buy poppies.

I submitted it as suggested but there's no way I could see to insert a link to another page, e.g. http://www.xpatloop.com/news/invitation … emembrance

I think they just plan to remember their dead, not actually take up their quarrel with the foe.

Attending world war cemeteries is also the best cure for euro-skepticism, no matter the side, so I'm all for it!

BTW the Hungarian equivalent of "Flanders Fields" is "Husvet elott" (Before Easter) by Babits Mihaly. Very dramatic, makes me cry every time.
Can anyone share a good translation?

This is a bit pompous and fairly meh translation, so if you know a better one, please share!
