Hi everyone. My wife and i are from England but we have spent the last 6 months in North Brazil. We are considering going to Guyana in December and want to explore the possibility of staying long term. We know that we can be here for 3 months on our UK passport and we could leave and re enter to get more time. However, does anyone know if there is a way of obtaining long term visas? I had a business in UK as a consultant and would consider starting a small business in Guyana but am struggling to find information about the legalities and if a foreigner is allowed to do this.
If anyone in the community has any experience with immigration or knows of any lawyers or other professionals that may be able to answer these questions, i would really appreciate it.
Thank you.

Hi Peter Kerry,

Welcome to Expat.com :)

You should maybe try to call or go to the nearest Embassy where you are going to submit the application for accurate answers :)

Best of luck with everything !

Thank you

Hi. Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately we have received vague information from them and it is not clear what we are supposed to do or what the options are.
