Hi.
Trying to sort out the bank thing before heading out.
Are there truly Scotia Bank ABM's in the Corozal area?
Scotia's web site was no help.
I am thinking I would just keep my money in Canada and access it as needed, or am I going about this the wrong way?

The Scotia Bank in Belize (and other countries) are owned by Scotia Bank Canada, but there is no special advantage to using them compared to any bank in Belize. I checked this out with the Scotia Bank in Canada. The banking rules are such that they must behave as a total separate bank. You can get money out just like you can from any ATM in thew world.

There is a ScotiaBank in Corozal .
There is an ScotiaBank ATM in Corozal.
Your ScotiaBank ATM card is good at any on the local bank's machines as well.
Bear in mind ,that your daily limit may not be as high outside of Canada .
Last time I was there $600 Belize was the limit whereas my CDN daily limit was $1000 CDN ...over 3 times as much !
