Where's Little America

Post new topic

Tran Hung Dao

I have not met one Italian expat here but look, there's a Little Italy in D1 already!

America has been in HCMC before so where's a "Little America"?  We got tons of American expats here so I'm starting to feel weak on the national pride here.

Little America is where Saigonmonkey and I kick it at.  Sorry, we haven't been doing that for awhile, hence you can't find it.

It is a well gaurded secret. For 300 million dong I can take you there, but you will be blindfolded.

Yah...in America, we have Chinatown, Arab Town, Little Tokyo, Little Italy...oh and even Several Little Saigons.  And they all speak their local languages in those areas.

It's time for some payback (And make some money while we're doing it.)

In Việt Nam, the Russians already have Nha Trang and Mũi Né.  The Chinese have Chợ Lớn in District 5 and 6.

The rents are just too damn expensive in the CBD area of HCMC though  :(  I propose finding where the American GIs are all retiring - I keep hearing Đà Nẵng but haven't verified this.
