Sorry to hear about your affliction.  I don't know about psychiatrists in VN but I do know that some medications used in treatment of anxiety disorders aren't available here.  I have a mild case of generalized anxiety disorder that seems to be fading out, and that's a good thing because there is a lot here to set it off ... the stress of living in a very foreign culture with an uncertain visa situation, and, worse, the incessant yelling here.  People talking quietly start yelling hysterically for no reason and I feel like I'm gonna go nuts, and the pop music often includes this "passionate" shrieking that does the same thing.

I came here with six months of Buspar, on a low dose by then, and at the time it ran out I had two legal problems back in the USA that I had to fix from here.  I took care of them both but it was a really nasty few months.

Anyway ... I tried to get Buspar again, found it's not available here, period, not even in Saigon.  They tried to give me Zoloft.  NO thanks.  I was a 230-lb out-of-shape zombie on that stuff.

OTOH, benzodiazepines are readily available here and inexpensive.  But you can't take those for long without becoming addicted and if you run out you can be immobilized.

Best of luck finding help here.
