Hi all
Considering a move to Belgium.

What am I supposed to do on day one?
Can someone guide me through the process of renting a place, registering with a commune, getting a social security number..etc.
There must be a proper order for doing these things..?
...i.e...cannot register in a commune without a home to stay etc.

So please someone put all these things in proper order.:)

P.S  I am migrating independently, search for a job later,EU citizen.

have you read through any of the threads on the forum here already? There are discussions on almost all of these questions.

Yeah...but bits and pieces.
Haven't seen it all together in one thread.

I just want to know what step to do first...second etc.
There must be a proper order for doing things when you first arrive.

Indeed but be warned they are very few jobs here in Belgium espally if you dont have dutch and french you might want to take a look at the English speaking jobs section. Also you cant stay in Belgium for more than 3 months eu or not without a job unless for other reasons such as married to someone here who can support you. Firstly you arrive and then register yourself in the commune and get health insurance. Im not sure if you need health insurance first I did but came in as au pair so it was a little different. They then made me up a file at the city hall and it went on from there I waited a few months for them to process everything and been here 3 years almost
